Amelie brings a diverse background to Leading Edge Financial Planning, most recently serving as an Accredited Financial Counselor® helping families reach their short and medium-term financial goals.
Originally from Michigan, Amelie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, then went on to earn her Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University while working at Johnson & Johnson.
Her adult life includes many moves across the country, mostly recently following her husband’s career—first in the US Air Force and now as a pilot flying private and charter jets. They’re now happily settled in Colorado Springs with their two kids and Fitz the dog.
Outside of work, Amelie enjoys gardening, “road” tripping in Charlotte (their plane), and inventing creative ways to spend time with her kids, 11 and 13, who are beginning to test the boundaries of parental involvement. Her latest challenge is teaching her dog not to eat shoes and dollar bills.
