In preparation for the upcoming Southwest Airlines open enrollment, we are presenting a break down of what benefits are available and how to choose the best one for your situation.
Disability insurance can be very confusing and to cover it all takes a lot of time. We understand your time is valuable, therefore we have split the information into two videos.
In the first video, Charlie talks about Southwest Airlines Short Term and Long Term Disability and Loss-of-License Insurance. He explains the differences between Short Term Disability (STD) A and B, Long Term Disability (LTD), Loss of License (LOL) and Voluntary LOL (VLOL), including their salary, retirement planning, and tax implications. He also shares which selections he recommends and why.
In the second video, Charlie gives examples of what happens when you become sick or disabled. He discusses Artificial Last Day of Pay (ALDP) and VLOL and also summarizes how the Short Term and Long Term disability benefits work in conjunction with one another.
These videos are Part 1 in a four-part series on Southwest Benefits. Our next video will discuss SWA Healthcare Benefits; Health Savings Plan, Choice Plus, and the Regular Plan. Thanks for watching!
